Aurora Captiva - Sound Responsive 3D Projection Mapping Sculpture

Aurora Captiva - Sound Responsive 3D Projection Mapping Sculpture from Materials & Methods on Vimeo.
This is an interactive 3D projection mapping sculpture developed by digital media artist Jeff Grantz of Materials & Methods. Shown or the first time at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, this sculpture reacts in realtime to a sound composition created by Jason Crigler and controls 126 layers of individually projection mapped video content - shifting the perceived level of opacity and transparency of the solid sculpted monolith. We are currently working on a second iteration that requires no external projectors, using a new advanced display technology being developed by Christie Digital.
