Beginning with a single step, let us take you on a guided tour of your imagination.

Start Here is a playful interactive performance installation for one person at a time. Blindfolded and immersed in a world of sound, each participant embarks on a unique trip as an original soundscape is mixed live by artists Edd Crawley and Rob Jones in response to your movements and explorations. Working together, artists and participants create a totally new soundscape each time. Start Here is part of the Gate series of human-specific events which aim to extend possibilities of creative interaction, enlarging by interrogation the roles of 'author' and 'listener'.

In this new version of the performance created specifically for Picture Window at Sonica 2013, All Eyes Wide will also work in collaboration with video designer Jamie Wardrop (Kieran Hurley: Beats) to create a dynamic visualisation of their interactive soundscape. This visualisation will be projected onto the street-facing windows of a vacant shop in Glasgow's city centre, responding to the audio of the performance in real-time. This live video performance will invite passers-by to become audio tourists - to Start Here, step inside, and sample the experience for themselves
