I had been using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) formula to analyse sound in my VJ software but there are some updated FFT formulas, FFTW and OTFFT. I've updated to use the FFTW and also updated the sound analyse part to get only LOW frequency sound (ex: bass drum).
I've fed many types of sound into my VJ software today. Then, I've realised that getting only SUPER low frequency sound seems best for (my) VJing. (fundamentally human being can’t hear/recognise under 20Hz and over 20k Hz.) I recorded a test play using Derrick May’s DJ play. (Derrick is very famous for his DJ style having unique usage of equaliser LOL.)
