Mapping Festival

The Mapping Festival team is more than happy to announce that despite everything, the 16th edition will take place online as well as in Geneva streets!

From November 19th to 29th, the edition will therefore invade your screens, but also our confined city. We’re setting up for you an urban artistic journey to discover installations exhibited in shop windows of various places now closed - bars, hairdressers, art galleries, offices - in order to keep them busy and alive, and to brighten up the city despite everything. Everything will be visible from the outside: the opportunity to enjoy a nice small winter walk, (in solo and masked, of course). A huge thanks to all the artists and local places!

Mapping City Stroll

All over the city, you are invited to admire installations in shop windows from the outside. Put on your hat, your gloves and your mask for a winter walk!

*Click on on the mapping logos on the map to unveil the installation location and artist name.

EDITORIAL 2020 EDITION

Before 2020 went down, and with it all the confinements, quarantines and other forms of social distancing, the preparation of the 16th edition of Mapping Festival had already well begun. But the confinement of the festival prompted us to pursue an introspective process about our artistic and associative project, in the aim of continuing to carry out our mission: supporting the development of critical and innovative artistic approaches in the field of technological, audiovisual, deviant arts.

It is thus precisely to remain deviant that Mapping must today deviate from its trajectory: the association Mapping Festival becomes PPING. From now on, PPING will seek to materialise events and meetings all year round around the concepts that have defined the DNA of the association: Vibration, Light, Space, Time and Interactions.

But we will also continue to happily organise the Mapping Festival, every year. And this is actually the main reason for these few lines: to announce that we are proud, happy - but above all very lucky - to be able to make this 16th edition happening anyways.

Take care and stay safe!
