• RETOUR EN IMAGE SUR MON OBJET-SCENE ✨ Il évoque mon rapport à la scène en tant que scénographe mais aussi en tant que spectatrice.
Le terme « projection » à ici, une double signification.
La première, la plus directe, est celle de la projection vidéo. Elle fait écho à ma pratique de VJ lors de soirées electro qui consiste à mixer des images en live au rythme des BPM des DJs. Les vidéos que je projette sur des supports divers donnent naissance à une scénographie vivante réunissant pour quelques heures ambiances lumineuses, espaces et individus en mouvement.
La deuxième signification est celle de la projection mentale du spectateur. Comment, en fonction de son passé, de ses expériences personnelles, le spectateur va pouvoir s’identifier à un personnage ou une situation montrée ?
Mes films négatifs de toute une année, trace de mon passé et de mes expériences vécues, ont été le point de départ pour réaliser un rideau de gélatine sur lequel je viens projeter une pluie de négatifs. En passant à travers le rideau, la vidéo devient espace et lumière à la fois. ✨ Musique : All Melody - Nils Frahm

Potato Interactive Installation

Potato is an interactive projection consisting of five potatoes. Touching potatoes activates images and sounds. It is a VJ setup in which these vegetables act as a midi controller or a mouse.
Organic objects such as fruits and vegetables have the ability to conduct electricity, so they can be used as capacitive sensors. When we touch such a sensor, our body provides an additional surface on which the electric charge can spread and the capacitance that can be read increases. The touch sensors in our phones work in a similar way. The work poses a question about the sense of using a cold, smooth, uniform surface to communicate with a computer, when we could use a rough, soft, uneven, diverse surface similar to, for example, vegetables. Wouldn't touch communication be easier if our fingers could get more touching feedback?
The potato has a great value in Polish culture. King Jan III Sobieski brought potatoes from Vienna as a gift for Queen Marysieńka, so that she could admire their beautiful flowers. The greatest Polish poets, such as Adam Mickiewicz and Julian Tuwim, wrote poems about potatoes. It even has monuments in Biesiekierz and Poznań. Moreover, in 2001, the artist Julita Wójcik conducted a performance which involved peeling potatoes on the floor of Zachęta in Warsaw. It is also a vegetable that allowed Poles to survive the cruel times of war. In this work, the potato is a common, obvious object but at the same time universal that gives many possibilities. If it can be a decoration, a dish or a stamp made in art class at school, why not serve as an intermediary to communicate with the machine?

Altar to the Next Realm is a video installation with an adjoining dance film that exists between two realms, of ancestors and descendants. It calls for reverence, respect, contemplation, action, and serves as a spiritual lighthouse to guide the artist and viewer to transcendence through technological, textural, and movement means.

Created during the Danza Orgánica We Create Festival: BIPOC Legacy in the Arts 2022 Fellowship.

Founded in 2007 by Afrotaíno artist Mar Parrilla- Danza Orgánica is a Boston-based dance theater company whose work is centered around equity, social justice, and decolonization. With dancers from Borikén (so-called Puerto Rico), Kiskeya (so-called Dominican Republic), Mexico, and Spain- DO brings forth a multiplicity of experiences with the common themes of migration, decolonization, and the embodiment of a liberated future.

En esta instalación site-specific, planteo una forma de diálogo unidireccional entre el espacio y el espectador. Una sala desnuda, que poco a poco va dibujando su forma, para mostrarnos su arquitectura, que aunque es inamovible como objeto, las luces y las sombras son capaces de cambiar su fisonomía.

Gnomalab es un artista audiovisual en activo desde los 90 con una carrera plagada de proyectos y colaboraciones con multitud de artistas. En los últimos años se ha focalizado en la investigación y producción de nuevos formatos además de compaginarlo con la docencia; pero a partir del 2017 decide retomar su faceta como VJ de forma activa y pone en marcha diversos proyectos AV más arriesgados y experimentales como son sus colaboraciones con Loppkio o Pina.
