In this piece I was interested in mitigating the experience of 2 disparate video projections, one featuring dramatic imagery and one featuring more mundane or banal actions or scenes. These two videos are projected on the exterior of a space. A viewer sits in this space and vertical portions of each montage stream into the room and are projected on the interior walls. These narrow strips of light are not entirely readable; they are transformed into movement, color, and light.
I want my viewer to reflect on the loss of meaning and discernment created by the simultaneity and fragmentation of these projections, potentially prompting reflection about contemporary culture. I also desire to create an aesthetic/formal experience for the viewer.

Shooting in a night club with low or no lighting is always an issue, so I use the "night-shot" feature (infrared). However, there are issues of "hot spots" and severe graininess.
So, it's always a challenge making these videos...also, not always having the latest technology toys forces me to explore deeper into the tools I already have.

SYNCHRON from stefanie sixt, sixt sense on Vimeo.
Markus Mehr and Stefanie Sixt create a stand-alone piece by combining music and visual arts. On purpose sound-patches implement a latent visual quality, freed from structures and metrics, from greaceful noise to tasteful kitsch. The music is taken from the album "Lava" by Markus Mehr, published by Hidden Shoal Recordings, Australia in 2010.
The visuals are based on animated, colourized and partially longterm exposed, monochrome nature photographs. The pictures are already abstracted while the photographs are shot. By interweaving the clips form compositions are created – reminding of moving paintings.
This show was recorded at H2 - Museum for Contemporary Art, Augsburg, Germany.

AudioVisual ObjectManipulation, is a performance cut in three sections. Object manipulator, Markus Liszt, transforms through his movements sound and visuals. Matthias Hurtl is the electronic music artist of the group experiment „ffid“, who is using mainly samples and noise for live compositing and mixing. Visual artist, Conny Zenk extending the room, conceptual starting from a mental pattern of the juggler to the dynamics of the objects in a geometric grid.
It’s a mixture of improvisation and choreography in real time, as a material of communication in the new medium of contemporary juggling.

KuberiasTechnocreati is about inspiration and creation. It shows the invisible communication between our inner imaginary world and the bodily physical outside it has effect on. The outside world is trapped in structures where only media, the digital image, the creating cube, can set it free in organic forms.
The sides of the kinetic cube open and close with help of a servo-motor and is like the smoke machine, connected to a arduinoboard.

This installation is made by Jeroen Cluckers and me during my half year study atelier media-art abroad, on the academy of Ghent.

The first part is a registration of the space-specific installation "Tussenin" at the basement of the Kunsttoren in Ghent.
The tubes visualize the energy in between subjects that cannot be seen. This turns into a visualisation of connections that are made in the actual space in between.

"Waarkijk" an Interactive Video sculpture from Carolien Teunisse on Vimeo.
"Waarkijk" which means something like "Truesee" is a video-installation which reacts to the position of the user and explores the different ways we see things.
This was filmed at the exposition "ikwilruimte" at the Temporary Art Centre in Eindhoven.
The sculpture is intuitivly made out of wood and bed sheets.
There are three visualizations of the three realms of reality (by Slavoj Žižek) the user can navigate thru.
The first is the Symbolic real visualized by found-footage,
second is the Imaginary real visualized by morphing photo’s,
the third and last stage is the Real reality, an abstract and direct world.
Hardware: 2 projectors, dualhead2go, sonar sensor, arduino, laptop
Software: Max/MSP/Jitter
I didn’t use the original sound of the recorded footage because it was too noisy.

Two projectors were used to illuminate the church with its own graphical art from the inside, projected on the outside.
It shows the changing identity of the church and religion, the old and physical put next to the nieuw and virtual way of contact between people.

through the last years i have been exploring vjing as fascinating media. creating live visuals for cultural- or stage events is a repeated, exciting challenge. while i'm thoroughly following a dertermined concept, a live set is turning out to be different every time it's performed.

Ezen érzés látványképekkel való kiegészítése SeNoN számára a vizuál, ahol az ember szemet gyönyörködtető képekkel, és testet-lelket átjáró dallamokkal gazdagodhat. Vj szettjei erősen kötődnek az elektronikus zenéhez, melynek elsődleges célja a zenében rejlő érzések, hangulatok, képi elemekkel történő megelevenítése, egyéni elképzelések alapján, és nem utolsó sorban a közönség szórakoztatása.
Hogyan is kezdődött mindez?!
2008 nyarán Kecelen, egy zenei rendezvény alkalmával, magával ragadta, és elvarázsolta a party-t kísérő audio-vizuális hatás. Itt ismerkedett meg olyan emberekkel, / Pax and Six/ akik mesterien űzik ezt a „szakmát” és segítséget nyújtottak az alapok elsajátításában. A többi már csak SeNoN – on múlott. A hobby-ból indult vágás, egy olyan láncreakciót indított el, amely a részévé vált, és sok munka, kitartás, türelem, útján eljutott odáig, hogy mára már saját projectjeit vetíti különböző rendezvényeken, melyek teljes egészében az ő személyiségét tükrözik, és olyan emberekkel dolgozhat együtt, akiket a szakmán belül is nagyra becsül.
2009. eleje óta pedig a BudapestDeepCafé radió show vj rezidenseinek csapatát erősíri, amely a világ első audio-vizuális élő rádió műsora.

SeNoN completes this feeling with visual, so that people can enjoy amazing pictures and beautiful melodies at the same time.
Her VJ sets are attached to electronic music, and its aim is to make the sense of music alive with visual elements. She realizes her own imagines and entertain the crowd.
How was it started?
It’s happened in 2008 summer, when she went for an electronic music event to Kecel, and she was captivated by the audio-visual experience. She met Pax&Six there who are professional VJs and helped her to learn the basics. SeNoN had learnt cutting and editing as hobby, but it started a process that became a part of her life. With lots of work, persistence and patience, she got on a good way and plays her own projects, that show her own personality, on various events. These times she works together with professionals who she holds in veneration.
Since the beginning of 2009, she is one of the resident VJs of BudapestDeepCafé radio show onJustmusic.fm which is the first live audiovisual radio show.
