eMotion+Wiimote in IR mode
Már többször írtam az eMotiion-ről - eMotion: az elektrónikus mozgás új megközelítése, eMotion, eMotion 0.6.0.6, eMotion 0.6.1 -, erről a fantasztikus szoftról. Most Johnny Chung Lee kiterjeszti a képességeit:

Na, most vagyok bajban, mert a két stuttgarti grafikusból - Willy Löbl és Max Pfisterer - alakúlt duóról csak német infót találtam és ezt a nyelvet kevésbé értem. Mindenesetre már találkozhattunk velük a szép Inky Ways loop-ok kapcsán.Most kis német nyelvű ismertető és videó:

3L oktatóanyagok
exiledsurfer - a 3L egyik alkotója és arca -, sorra teszi közzé oktató jellegű filmjeit a programról magyarázataival fűszerezve. Íme a legújabb:

This clip is variations on the same theme. Essentially what is happening here is that the quicktime movie of the fish in the background is being used as the displacement map for the DISTORTION MODULE on a plane being drawn in different modes.. as points, as linestrip, as quads, and as polygons. The quicktime is also mapped on to the plane as a texture. Compose fx are used on the scene output, and the color difference you see between the 3L object and the background is due to the transfer mode, as well as the alpha choices for the object.
What is important to note here is that the DISTORTION SLIDE parameter is set to 30% in order to slow down the motion of the displacement map. This results in the "flowing" motion of the displacement of the plane as the fish are moving. So what you are seeing here is not a 2d core image fx, but instead displacement and texturing being applied to a 3d object which is a plane, and that plane is poistioned above the background quicktime. So the displacement effect follows the motion of the fish.
Audio Track is "Mute As a Fish" from the austrian electronic artist Lichtenberg. These clips were created and rendered in reatime using the built in dvr in thrill.artificialeyes.tv at 320x240 pixels in the motion jpeg a codec at lossless settings. The uploaded clip is an mp4. "

Bamboozled With 3L

They are just slammed together back to back with a track from Ambient Amazon, and demonstrates how to use 3d space to achieve motion and perspective that appears to be 2d, utilizing jpegs of bamboo, and ferns.
The clip illustrates a few methods:
Mapping a jpeg on to a cylinder and rotating it so that you can see through both surfaces, giving the unfocused foreground and in focus "warped" background effect.The second method is moving the position of a jpeg on a sphere along one of its axis before it is mapped to the object, and rotating the sphere so that the point of origin makes it look as if the image is dissappearing down a funnel. (This is NOT a distortion fx applied to the Scene Output.
Also demonstrated is using a movie texture to supply the deformation map to a surface of an object to create rippling fx. In this example, the background (yellow/red color) is used BOTH as a composed background texture behind the fern leaves, which are mapped on to a sphere, AND as the moving map to determine the distortion values of the sphere/fern.there are other additional simple motion rules used, as well as some fx on the final outputs to tweak the colors and provide additional depth and shadowing. "

A 3L nem egy egyszerű program, a készítőin kívűl még mindenki csak ismerkedik vele. Bizonyítják ezt a naponta megjelenő demók, melyek próbálják feltérképezni a szoft határait.

Amig sor kerül a saját 3L demómra, addig nézzük meg mástól talán eddig a legjobban sikerültet:

This clip uses just jpegs of smoke mapped on to a rotating sphere with the Transform FX applied to the texture before it is mapped to the sphere. the Transform Fx is simply moving the jpegs on the y axis, which gives the appearance of motion. The opening of the clip is just a silouette with a distorted sphere in front oft with the jpeg moving on the y axis of the sphere in order to demonstrate the concept. To remove the black from your clips when mapping to the objects so that they are transparent use the following alpha settings on the object:
Top Alpha Menu: S alpha
Bottom Alpha Menu: One
Turn the DEPTH TOGGLE OFF on the object

Sokan szeretik és használják az ArKaost, bár megvannak a korlátai és gyengeségei. ( Én is dolgozom vele, de mindig keresem az alternatívákat, így most jelenleg 5 külömböző progiból tudnám összegyúrni a nekem tetszőt. )

A program készítője főleg tánchoz és színházi előadásokhoz ajánlja, de képzeld magad a buliba, amikor távirányítóval hadonászol és változik a kép...

Kaoss...
Az alábbi videón a zenészek által jól ismert Korg Kaoss pad-del vezérlik a videót. A vas midin keresztűl van összekötve a Quartz Composerrel ( vagy valamilyen QC alkalmazással ).
