Se nutre de la celebración de la noche de muertos. No puedes concebir la vida sin la muerte.

La catrina es una piñata que cambia de estado a traves de las imágenes en movimiento.
En el marco de un espacio te invita a la contemplación. La aventura de lo terreno a lo esotérico. Varios paisajes de los mostrados pertenecen a localizaciones en Gran Canaria, Madrid, Córcega y a proximidades y la propia Oaxaca.
Las animaciones en la escultura de la catrina han sido pintadas con acuarelas, animadas, digitalizadas y postproducidas autora. Ell sonido se ha registrado en Oaxaca durante celebraciones de muertos asi como otros paisajes sonoros.
Materiales:
Video, sonido, piñata, bolas facetadas svarowksi, micrófono, cajas stereo, flores de muertos.

The catrina is a piñata that shifts via moving image projections. In the frame of a space that invites you to observe. The adventure of the physical to the esoteric. Multiple of landscapes shown belong to locations such as Gran Canaria, Madrid, Córcega and proximities and the state of Oaxaca.
The animations of the sculpture had been painted in watercolors, animated and digitalized and post-produced by the author. The eyes of the catrina are sound responsive.
The sound has been recorded in Oaxaca during the day of the dead and other soundscapes.

Su presentación en vivo resalta ya que los visuales van acorde con la música que se está tocando. La propuesta de Ojo de pez, es un recorrido mágico, visual. Que va más allá de figuras geometricas.
Calavera, es recuerdo de nuestros muertos, los que se fueron y los que aún no tenían que irse. Una fiesta de colores. Según mi creencia, al morir si la persona fue buena en vida su alma se eleva al cielo. De lo contrario una calenda con toritos negros y espectros con mascaras, se lo llevan a una fiesta de la cual no regresará.

The video is based on a painting which has been made by the use of separate bicycle parts (bicycle wheels and their shadows) forming an open circle.The circle – as one of the main frames of mechanical constructions – allows us a particularly positive and harmonious atmosphere.The invention of the wheel is undoubtedly one of the most important achievements of all times, it is the base of many thousand years of mechanical development. The bicycle is an important stage in this development and may symbolise further advancement as well. The crowd of spokes – as seen in the artwork – could indicate the evolutional direction and softness of the constructions.
The animation mix sets out from the structural elements. It is like a „minimalist reflection in a mirror” made by abstracting the perspective viewing angles of the painting.
The sound (sanyi - Ri:verse - mOde to Intellectual Poppetry) includes samples from Ship of Fools - Guidance is Internal feat. Albert Hofmann, Peter Finch - Foodball / Water-Vizet live performances in Budapest, 2002, 2003, Douglas Adams - Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (BBC Radiophonic Workshop), P.B. Shelley - Ode to Intellectual Property, T.S. Eliot - The Hollow Man, Marshall Mcluhan - Medium is the Massage, along with various noise and bits of different music. The mix is a fragment from radio show Kelta karó on Budapest-based community radio Tilos)

SPECTRAL SOUND SYSTEM – PROJECT DESCRIPTION
‘Spectral Sound System’ is a live, semi-improvised audio-visual performance that is intended as a response to a specific location’s audio-visual topography. It employs a research-based approach with recordings made in situ and live coding to investigate a site’s nodes of affect and the embodied responses these might generate upon the individuals who occupy its distinct time-space. A particular focus of this project is the interstitial area in which mediated tropes of emotion (generated via advertising and popular media) overlap and integrate themselves with the ephemeral mindsets of its individual inhabitants. Field recordings, spectral processing, data visualization and algorithmically-generated visuals are cross-processed and combined in a real-time, intuitive manner, redeploying the collected data in an intermedial response to the performance location’s socio-political terrain.
