Outdoor dance floor reinterprets the contemporary clubbing esthetics, replacing the related imaginaries both in the theatrical and unconventional spaces. With this performance the Italian choreographer identifies in the in the club culture a hybrid dimension in which dance and music become a territory of “possibility" for the bodies transcending social and gender conventions. The performers put on the stage a choreographic action based on a series of imitable short sequences supported by a constant pulsation in relationship with the beat of the techno music. At the end of the piece the audience will be invited to join the flow to experience, through dance, new relational dynamics, echoes and reverberations of the movement. Outdoor dance floor embodies an act of pure sociality and aggregation of bodies.

I created this segment to be played during the 4th of July show at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, CO. Bassnectar has been one of my favorite artists for years, and when I was given the opportunity to try my hand at making visuals to his music, I couldn't pass it up! To be accompanied by fireworks and other pyrotechnics. Primarily used Cinema4D with Octane and X-Particles, comped and further animated in After Effects. Original resolution 4446 x 952p.

Créées par les 6 artistes du collectif à l’occasion de la Nuit européenne des musée 2019, ces projections prennent la forme d’une frise vidéo s’inspirant de peintures classiques, de sculptures et de bas reliefs.
Cette recherche sur le mouvement et les corps plonge dans la transe engendrée par des rites et des danses ou des processions aux foules impressionnantes. Occultes, religieux ou électroniques, les mouvements de danseurs classiques se répètent à l’infini, mêlés à des textures charnelle, organiques et minérales.

Finally did an edit of the live animation performance I did with the electronic musician Mesak (father of Skwee) at Fredrikstad Animation Festival in 2016. All performed live with MAX/MSP/JITTER. Prerendered animation sequences were triggered and blending modes applied via a MIDI keyboard. I could also move the bug around in x/y/z space via faders and knobs.

http://www.mikecelona.net - An abstract piece resembling stained glass windows generated with Lumen and remixed live with VJ software overlapping and changing as a cacophony of bells echo across the ages. Inspired by the gradual layered development of the Notre Dame Cathedral and it’s partial destruction on April 15, 2019 which inadvertently provided it with a new opportunity for evolution--aesthetic or otherwise. The soundtrack was produced with a Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer.
