Zahlreiche nationale und internationale Künstler bringen die Weimarer Innenstadt zum leuchten.
Das Genius Loci Weimar Festival feiert 100 Jahre Bauhaus und 100 Jahre Weimarer Verfassung.
Aus diesem Anlass wird 2019 das geschichtsträchtige Deutsche Nationaltheater bespielt - die Künstler sind Philip Modest Schambelan und Michal Banisch von ruestungsschmie.de aus Dresden in Zusammenarbeit mit Jarii van Gohl/Soundselektor.
Das Künstlerduo Laura Seitz und Daniel Pitts lassen das mon ami zu einer märchenhaften Kulisse werden und mit dem Medienkünstler Jonas Denzel wird erstmals das neue Bauhaus-Museum.
Das Genius Loci Lab im Weimarhallenpark ist auch dieses Jahr wieder ein Schmelzpunkt für Ideen junger Nachwuchskünstler aus der ganzen Welt. Live Shows werden auf eine im Wasser stehende Konstruktion projiziert und mit Reflexionen und Sound den Park in ein neues Licht tauchen.
Noch mehr atmosphärische Lichtkunst können die Besucher entlang der Festivalroute erleben.
Der Genius Loci Club startet ab 23:00 im Alten Funkhaus und ab 00:00 Uhr lädt das
AV-Kino in den Kinosaal des mon ami.
Der Genius Loci Talk in der Kunsthalle Harry Graf Kessler widmet sich dieses Jahr dem Thema KI in Medienkust und hat internationale Referenten aus verschiedenen Disziplinen zu Gast.

Beginn des Genius Loci Festivals ist am Freitag, dem 09.11.2019 um 21:30 Uhr.
Die Videomapping-Shows werden alle 30 Minuten wiederholt, die letzte Show startet jeweils um 00:00 Uhr.
