In 2013 the electronical, audiovisual club scene labour is still gender divided.
In general 100 % of the program of clubs or festivals consists of white male DJs and VJs.
"WE WON´T EAT YOUR HATE LIKE LOVE" is a video about the infrastructure and
architecture of DJing and VJing, which is frequently discriminating, sexist and racist: from the
audience, booking management, club owners, to the stage set up to CD production.
The video visualizes women working as a DJ or VJ and reflects on topics as
gender, space and architecture. Hopefully it creates a visual space for female DJs and VJs
in the public domain.
As the architect Elsie Owusu has pointed out, the expectations that buildings are designed
by white middle-class men for white middle-class male clients is challenged every time a black
