Ind - I Need Darkness is a multimedia project that grants real space, hidden by the darkness prevailing, and ideal space, represented by the visual stress that lead the viewer to a higher level of perception, almost dreamlike. It is the darkness the true beginning of the experience Ind, moment in which the survey incessantly in science, mysticism, sounds and visual fragments of obsolete media, collide in beams of input for the viewer.
The latter is the real star of the performance, he could give a key to understanding to the placenta where it is completely immersed. The research and iconography is based in graphic productions and engravings dating back to bygone eras, reworked in a contemporary way thanks to the use of technology. Similarly it tends to smooth out the artificiality of digital technology using pieces of footage and applying the images of grains that combine the "fallen into disuse" with "the present".
Sound research produces an atmosphere that exceeds the simple listening. Low frequencies act physically on the space they propagate dirty noises, generated from a single note that evolves over time.
This video is only a “scene” of the performance that is about 40 minutes long, it is recorded in real time from the direct output of the software utilized for the live performance, the video react to the sound in real time.
The the complete audio-video performance (40 minutes) has four introductory moments based on the four elements (Earth, Water, Air, and Fire) and a final act where the man goes in search of the meaning of his world through philosophy, religion, mysticism, mathematics and technology.
