For this expanded cinema assignment, I wanted to craft an audiovisual narrative of a malware virus infecting a computer and taking over. I constructed the audio track on GarageBand to show the following stages:
1. The peaceful lullaby of a computer running smoothly, without any hindrances
2. The initial stages of a virus takeover
3. Total takeover
The visuals are wholly inspired by the music and are meant to look primitive and underdeveloped – much like the net art scene of the 90’s and early 2000’s that popular culture now finds so fascinating.
