Video for Vj
We'd face survival
Looking like soldiers waiting to drown
And I'm not around no more
As you can see in the lyrics, we live for no reason. Repeated daily routines and miscellaneous stress.
In the video, TV comes out with daily routines. The camera is zoomed out and the other TVs are the same.
It is just a stressful noise. The ideal we want is on the above. But we keep repeating.
Irrational repetition and we bow to the oppressed reality.

0101 1Hz (extract)
0101 1Hz (extract) from Daniel von Rüdiger on Vimeo.
0101 orchestrates live guitar loops, sample drums, and social documentary together to create a Cinematic Postrock Experience. 0101 takes you on a cyclical audio voyage without contrived ambiance or excess droning. In fact you may find that at the end you have reached the beginning without knowing how you got there.
1Hz is a scoring of the audiovisual live performance 1Hz which brings loop based music and cinematic visuals together. The performance was premiered during the course of an Artist in Residency at the Kasseler Dokfest in 2015. The project is a processually artistic research project which compares rhythm in music and moving images.
The film and audio footage was shot 2014 by Daniel von Rüdiger on a social documentary trip through Papua New Guinea. The two pieces specifically cover working processes of a indigene tripe at the Sepik river. Kanu documents the building and transport of a dugout and Sago the harvesting and processing of the staple food sago.

Hi there! We are super-excited to announce the new, big-fat update of Mitti, version 1.1
Hi there! We are super-excited to announce the new, big-fat update of Mitti, version 1.1
Vezér 1.7.5 released
Important: in case you are using Vezér with Mitti 1.0.4, this update will break the OSCQuery functionality, so best to wait to Mitti 1.1 then - that should be out in the next coming days.
The new release also fixes a crashing but related to setting interpolations on multiple keyframes, and an other issue has been already addressed that resulted the crash reporter window to be hidden in the background - we would hate to not receive possible problem reports from you, so keep'em coming!
For a full list of changes so far, please check out the changelog.
Thanks to everyone who submitted bug reports and also thanks for your help with testing out beta builds!
Vezér 1.7.5 is a free update, so grab it while it is hot – use the built-in updater or just download the latest version from the website.

Mapping is glad to once more partner with CineGlobe, the International Film Festival at CERN, which celebrates this year its tenth anniversary and seventh edition from March 21 to 26.
For the occasion, THIRD RAW, an audiovisual performance by composer Roly Porter and video artist Marcel Weber, aka MFO, will be presented on Thursday, 23 March.
A musician based in Bristol, Roly Porter, former member of duo Vex’d, has released experimental music albums on labels Subtext and TriAngle. He has worked several times with Cynthia Millar, famous player of Ondes Martenot, one of the first electronic music instruments. MFO is a visual artist based in Berlin, who has distinguished himself through his collaborations with Tim Hecker, Biosphere and Ben Frost, among others.
Both are familiar with the world of cinema: in 2013, Roly Porter contributed to the soundtrack of the independent horror movie IN FEAR, and wrote a reinterpretation of the well-known animated movie by René Laloux GANDAHAR. Marcel Weber worked with film score composer Jed Kurzel (MACBETH, ASSASSIN’S CREED) on Snowtown: Live, an audiovisual performance premiered at Unsound Festival in Adelaide.

The Visual Piano is an instrument which makes it possible to create moving images in a space. It is unique and was conceived and developed by the photographer and light installation artist Kurt Laurenz Theinert in collaboration with the software designers Roland Blach and Philip Rahlenbeck.
Using a MIDI-keyboard it is possible to generate varying graphic patterns which can be digitally projected onto one or more screens. These dynamic and immediate drawings in light are not (as with VJ soft-and Hardware) generated by pre-recorded clips, but every moment of the performance is being played and modulated live and in real time via the keyboard and pedals.
Form and content are of one here. The “Visual Piano” performances explore professional contemporary artistic practice through the abstract, ephemeral medium of light, but at the same time they are consciously located in close proximity to the genre of “serious” entertainment.
