Stratos è un’idea, è musica, è sperimentazione, è rivolta!
L’idea è quella di creare uno spazio condiviso dove dare libero sfogo alla propria creatività, un luogo dove incontrarsi e mettere in comune le proprie conoscenze artistiche di qualsiasi genere, un luogo dove fare: sperimentazioni musicali elettroniche, performance audio-video, laboratori e tanto altro.
Stratos promuove la libera circolazione dei saperi con uno sguardo rivolto verso il mondo dell’Open Source e del Do It Yourself e ovviamente contro il diritto d’autore classico e il profitto come unica forma mentis della produzione culturale.
Appunto Sounds against system!

Chi?
Stratos è aperta a tutte e tutti i/le creativi/e che non trovano un luogo dove poter esprimersi al di là dei canoni commerciali.
Stratos è rivolto ai musicisti, ai producers, ai performers, ai live-coder, ai DJ, ai VJ e a qualsivoglia forma di produzione audio-visivo-performativa.

Dove?
Stratos nasce all’interno dello Spazio Autogestito Grizzly di Fano, uno spazio occupato nel 2014 e restituito alla collettività, uno spazio di socialità libera fuori dalle logiche del profitto, dove l’autogestione è l’unica forma di gestione delle attività. Uno spazio libero dalle ingerenze del mercato culturale dominante.

Come?
Quale strumento possiamo utilizzare per far sì che questo progetto possa cominciare a strutturarsi? Ovviamente l’incontro e la socializzazione delle idee. La volontà è di incontrarsi settimanalmente all’interno del Grizzly con tutto quello che ci serve: impianto audio, mixer, microfoni, proiettore, tavoli, sedie e la volontà di creare.

Perché?
Perché Stratos? Stratos nasce dall’esigenza di alcuni musicisti elettronici e performers di trovare un luogo dove incontrarsi per poter creare un flusso di idee da realizzare collettivamente e per poter dare forma plastica alle pulsioni creative di tutte e tutti.

Il primo appuntamento di Stratos – Sounds against system è per martedì 30 maggio alle ore 18:00 presso lo Spazio Autogestito Grizzly in via della colonna 130 a Fano (zona campo d’aviazione)

This is an ongoing episodic piece that I'm making called Broken Angel. It is an attempt to bring audio and abstract (ish) CGI together in a variety of interesting and/or affecting ways. The idea with the episodic thing is for three reasons; the first is that it's much easier to split such a big project into segments and actually finish things. The second is that I thought it'd be an interesting idea to take an almost "madlib" approach (or like these drawings you did as a kid where you make funny monsters on a folded bit of paper), where I end each episode with the first frame of the next episode, and vice versa with the start. Although the whole thing has been sketched out, the details of each episode will dealt with episode-by-episode. Finally, I wanted to have a different theme and style to each episode, whilst maintaining a continuous (albeit loose and abstract) narrative.

This is the fourth episode. The aim was to create a similar story of growth in two distinct worlds, loosely digital and analogue. 3D was in Houdini, 2D in Nuke, with some extra things in AFX. Audio in a a few different programs, with a couple of hardware synths.

Fragmento de una de las obras para la muestra llamada Shared Canvas; en el marco de la muestra Cultura y Media organizada por Estado Lateral. Presentada por el grupo creativo DraggnDropp en las instalaciones del CC San Martin en Buenos Aires

Este es un fragmento de la pieza realizada para el proyecto SHARED CANVAS ( tratadodeintegracion.cc/openmedialab/index.php?n=Main.HomePage ) la cual constaba de 3 piezas; dos obras interactivas y una video proyeccion panoramica. En este caso se puede ver parte del video panoramico donde se trabajo sobre la tecnica de data mosh y morphing de video.
Estas piezas fueron presentadas durante 2009, del 18 al 21 de Septiembre en el Centro Cultural San Martin, dentro de la muestra Cultura y media, y en el CEntro Cultural Konex en el marco del Insiration FEst durante el 5 y 6 de diciembre.

You can now upload you own audio samples (up to 24
simultaneous different samples) through Audioshare or ITunes File Sharing, have access to all the audio parameters of each track, upload your own visual shaders though ITune file sharing, unlimited number of loops, save/load your projects, have access to a sequencer for each track's parameters (including visual track).
Almost every controller can be mapped to up to 3 finger positions on the screen, or assigned a randomisation event.
Visual shader files are 100% compatible with vertexshaderart.com's vertex shaders, so you can work on your shaders online on vertexshaderart.com and then import in the KMachine (through ITunes File Sharing).
Shaders have access to sound frequencies history(about 2,4 sec) through texture access and screen touch history.
And a ingenious 'code in the comments' allows to expose up to 8 float parameters of your .glsl code to the Machine.

Complete (almost) list of new features:
-Audiobus 2.3.1 added, one receiver port, one sender port.
-Samples import with AudioShare.
-Shader/Audio files/animations files import with ITune file sharing
-Project can be saved/open in .kol format in the Documents.
