As a part of the annual UCLA Undergraduate Exhibition, Sam Klitsner, Ky Newman, and I created a live VJ show to an audio mix that we curated. This was the first time any of us were given the opportunity to VJ so we chose a wide spectrum of motion graphics and elements to work with. The show itself was awesome, we had about 100-120 people show up and we played twice. The live footage in the corner is from the second show and not as many people were there, as it was mainly for recording purposes.

Please Note: Some of the footage from the live footage might be different from the pre-recorded footage because we have more control and spontanuity during the live performance.

A quick showreel of some of the visuals I made for the Hidden Orchestra 2013/2014 European tour.

The idea was to make handmade abstract visuals, with an organic feel. So I played with many household objects and light sources.
All the visuals were based on circular forms as the band wanted the visuals to be projection mapped on to arrays of drumskins, surrounding them on stage.

Visual creado para ser el opening del nuevo show de la banda mexicana de pop MOTEL. En este caso la pantalla de LEDS es de aproximadamente de 6.5 metros por 2 de altura. Solicitado por ALTERED VJs.

Quería crear un aura rítmica que envolvieran al vocalista y al guitarrista de la banda al pararse frente a la pantalla. Se trabajó con trapcode form y soundkeys para aislar la voz y y la guitarra y otorgarle a cada miembro de la banda un aura creada con la música que ellos mismos generan.

Visual creado para el show de la banda pop mexicana MOTEL. La proyección consiste en una pantalla de leds de aproximadamente 6.5 metros por 2 de altura.

Quería experimentar con el uso de Trapcode Form como una forma de visualización musical, pero permitiendo cierta estructura básica en las formas que se generan. Agradezco a ALTERED VJs por la confianza y la invitación a los buenos proyectos.

The Darkside of Amsterdam is an interactive 3D mapping project during Amsterdam Light Festival 2013.

Since time immemorial, the church has defined 7 sins, Lust, Pride, Greed, Gluttony, Sloth, Wrath, Envy.
Often we find that these sins up to a certain extent actually improve the quality of life. Doesn’t Greed help us achieve more than we hoped for ? Shouldn’t we be proud of our accomplishments? And how can a relationship last without some spice and Lust..
Thus we wanted to make the people of Amsterdam show-off their sins for a change. So we re-interpreted the whole idea of a “confession” and make it more elegant. Therefor we took the confession booth out of the church, onto the streets of Amsterdam and created an interactive podium for collective light painting, Kinematic Photography interspersed with animations that were then mapped on the church. Users would wear their chosen sin and pose. A seven second camera exposure would then capture their photo with the light painting and directly projected onto the Moses en Aaron church.
