Augen zwinkern, schweifen sanft hin und her, und starren dann wieder auf den Betrachter: die interdisziplinäre Kunstinstallation NEGUA kombiniert Skulptur, Fotografie und Rechenkunst.
Beim Betreten der ART.FAIR 2015 kann jeder ein Teil von NEGUA werden. Im Fokus steht das Auge: weit geöffnet, fest geschlossen, nach links blickend und nach rechts blickend werden je Besucher vier Fotos gemacht. Diese Bilder werden dann zur Projektion auf den Videorechner übertragen. NEGUA erwacht zum Leben, wenn sich auf den großen, weißen Kugeln, aus denen die raumgreifende Wabenstruktur geformt ist, die Augen seiner Betrachter öffnen.
NEGUA lebt von dem besonderen Moment, in dem jedem Besucher klar wird, dass ihn irgendwo aus dieser Fülle auch sein eigenes Auge anblickt.
Fasziniert von der raumgreifenden Installation sucht jeder sein eigenes Auge - und entdeckt die Schönheit und besonderen Merkmale der anderen.
NEGUA wurde vom Künstlerkollektiv KALYPSO entwickelt und umgesetzt. Michael Baumann (Visueller Künstler), Alessandro De Matteis (Fotograf) und Philipp Dreber (Bildhauer und Konzeptkünstler) schaffen zur ART.FAIR 2015 besondere Augenblicke, die den Betrachter in den Bann ziehen.

The sold-out launch party for Hold Tight on 20 November 2015 saw installations from resident artists including Nicole Gordon and Anna Maynard and visuals from Joel Perry (HR6) transform the venue, with yarn dens (Anna Maynard), laser-cut acrylic boxes (Nicole Gordon), giant printed acetate lamps (NG) and more.
The smooth-running of the event was aided by the services of Texture's creative director and visuals made even more impressive via Texture's projectors.
Queues out of the door and down the street prove that Hold Tight is providing something which Manchester wants and the next edition is set to be even better, with special guests including Steven Burch, animator of cult classic 'Space Jam'.
The artist brief for the next event is 'reflections', held on 4th March 2016 at Texture.

started in 2011
Alex studied Mediadesign at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle(Saale). He worked as cameraman, film editor, VJ, interaction and motion designer. In all of his works he is looking for the perfect mix of media, in a dramaturgical, aesthetical and originative way.Since 2002 he likes to give lectures in Bulgaria, Germany, Cyprus and China, exploring the different approaches to digital photography, motion and interaction design.While working with ID Frankfurt for multimedia performances he became aware of the elaborate restrictions and possibilities in the fields of interdisciplinary performances of motion. http://vimeo.com/rrr
V4W.ENKO creates sound and visual compositions based on custom applications with Max; a visual coding tool used to create interactive visuals, installations and complex interactive environments. He’s a young upcoming Ukrainian artist working in the fields of live electronics, installation, sound art and video art since 2007. His work is realised by manipulating self programmed algorithms in real-time. From 2009 he participated and performed at number of media such as FIBER, Ars Electronica, CynetArt, Mutek, Kvitnu, NextSound and other festivals. Have released works on some labels like Kvitnu, Electroton, Nexsound, JNN, etc. Since 2011 he runs the label FF’Space, which is dedicated to algorithmic and abstract approaches in the arts of sounds, visuals, design and micro-software development. Under the alias of V4W.ENKO, Evgeniy performs and develops algorithmic tools, installations, sounds, objects, visuals and graphics over the world. Das Zusammentreffen von modernen Bildern und Klängen in altehrwürdiger Architektur bildete einen hochfrequentierten Anlaufpunkt im Rahmen der Museumsnacht in Köln. Gemeinsam mit dem Elektroniklabel Laut & Luise, dem Musiker Antonio de Luca und dem Musikertrio Wide Awake wurde eine symbiotische Welt aus Projektionen und Musik erschaffen, welche die Architektur der Cäcilienkirche des Museums Schnütgen gleichermaßen in Leinwand und Bühne verwandelte.
