**the second iteration of LEKANI will be shown on International Women‘s Day (March 8th 2023) at Deep Space 8K at Ars Electronica Center**
LEKANI is an ongoing transdisciplinary and immersive installation performance that is articulated on several levels of research: movement, live camera capture and VJ-ing, video projection, coding, music and costume design.
The project emerged from the DANU workshop between Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität and Kunstuniversität Linz, in co-operation with Ars Electronica Center.
The artists of LEKANI are currently in the process of further development and form an international, heterogeneous group with diverse artistic backgrounds and interests.
**The powers that surveil society are invisible to the surveilled. These powers are abstract and self-regulating - applied from all angles. The boundaries between observation and surveillance become blurred. Artists and audience are immersed in a contemporary and explicit panopticon. The traditional observation tower is replaced by digital devices which recreate a closed, guarded environment, resulting in a recursive relationship between surveillance and supervision. We are the observers observing ourselves.**
The artists welcome the audience to partake in a transdisciplinary experience, and are invited to notice the imperceptible, become aware of what is ignored, and recognize where they place their attention.
through movement, interconnected perception and audio-visual elements, the performers create an atmosphere in which they may temporarily dissolve their personal individuality, and become part of a new emergent, disciplinary organism, which exists as a set of relations to one another, at the intersection between art and technology.

Norwich University of the Arts research group Created and Contested Territories is pleased to present an improvised, multi-disciplinary live performance which invites the audience to consider the authentic temporal experience of a day in the life of the American poet Emily Dickinson.
The content of the performance and workshop derives from Emily Dickinson’s poetic annotations and envelope writings, her daily domestic rituals, and the intimate sonic world in which she practised and performed music. Her accomplishment as a piano player involved repetitive practice of various études and finger exercises. Ballads that she sang would segue into the rhythm of her poetry and letters; the fragments themselves interpreted as micro-balladry, sung in snatches. Dickinson’s innate epigrammatic ethos created small windows into her daily observations, feelings and experience.
Responding to these miniature texts, the piece acts as an immersive venture into the poet’s process - and situates the female performer as a conduit for Dickinson’s seizing of moments for expression. Iterations of voice and piano are complemented by the ‘enactment’ of projected imagery; via contemporaneous sources, materials and techniques. Through the use of performance, improvisation, and visual experiment - where pianistic and vocal fragments from her music folio, and ‘textual snatches’ from her envelope poems are strategically de-constructed, re-constructed, and re-presented via VJ animation - there exists a ‘dwelling in possibility’ as new sonic, poetic and visual metaphors unfold.
Reading Emily Dickinson’s ‘envelope’ poems and ballad lyrics from her folio, workshop groups will create vocal work and a ‘re-framing’ of the material. Working with small textual and visual fragments, the attendees will make new ‘envelope’ poems of their own.

�Yangyoongab is a media artist who paints with light. She puts her own story in it using the time given equally to everyone and allows them to experience it in the same space.
In Yangyoongap's video, frames filled with hand-made images such as paper and paint unfolded rhythmically in space and time.
In this live set, through projection mapping, the outer wall of the building is used as drawing paper to create a New World that combines music and videos.

RAINBOW99는 수많은 아티스트의 작업에 참여한 기타리스트이자 프로듀서이며 싱어송라이터이다. 10여 년의 시간 동안 30장이 넘는 크고 작은 음반을 꾸준히 발매하였으며, 일렉트로닉, 슈게이징, 드림팝, 앰비언트에 더해 블루스까지 다채로운 장르를 포섭하여 전자음악을 즉흥적으로 해석하고 연주한다. 이번 ‘miner’s gems’에서 그는 관찰이 아닌 경험으로써 여행을 통해 공간/장소의 역사적 아픔 혹은 문제를 느끼며 제주의 여러 모습을 담아낸 음반 ‘오름의 지금’에 수록된 곡들을 들려준다.
양윤갑yangyoongab은 빛으로 그림을 그리는 미디어 아티스트이다. 그는 모든 이들에게 동등하게 주어진 시간을 재료로 그 안에 자신만의 이야기를 넣고 같은 공간안에서 그것을 경험할 수 있도록 한다. 양윤갑의 영상에서 종이나 물감 등 손으로 만든 이미지로 채워지는 프레임들은 리드미컬한 방식으로 시공간안에 펼쳐진다. 이번 라이브 셋에서는 프로젝션 맵핑을 통해 건물 외벽을 도화지 삼아 음악과 영상이 어우러진 하나의 새 랜드를 만든다.

A 45-min session intended to provide a moment for the participants to relax and re-charge energy.
Performance showcased in exit room at the end of the panel talks during three days of the event, from November 16 - 18, 2022.
Calming live-coded visuals with GLSL shaders projected on two walls, while playing meditative music and burning incense, let participants sit, stand or stretch in their desired area of the room to watch the real-time visual art creation.
Participants were freely to approach me while live coding to look at the code, ask questions about this process, or request live visual changes on the art projection.
Artwork inspired by meditation and yoga practices.
Music in session: public meditation playlist.
Duration: 45 minutes.
