Updates released to Kickstart 2017

Hey there, Happy New Year! It is just the 3rd week of the year but we already released updates for all of our apps to kickstart 2017. Read below some notes about what has been added.

Since Mitti hit the prime time we've released 4 free micro updates to add new features like support for the HAP movie codec family, an option to switch to displaying the elapsed time, etc. besides of bug fixes. Check out the Changelog for a complete list of changes.

After the latest release of Vezér in last December we've released 3 free micro updates this month focusing on bug fixes. Check out the Changelog for the complete list of changes.

This was my way of processing 2016 as selectah: Audio/Visual mixtape consisting of music that meant something to me this year, accompanied by VJ visuals curated, edited and produced in preparation for Voyager NYE 2017.
All video comes from the libraries of DrmBt, sampled and edited from live shot content, After Effects animations, CC web content, sample repositories, the HD Content vaults of NASA, and a few web screengrabs. Samples used with permission accredited below. Mixed live in Resolume Arena with no post processing and minimal edits in FCPX.

For Phillipe Wozniak's version of Prometheus 2015, I developed a series of short videos from the landscape, and urban settings. I am onstage with the orchestra using VJ software Resolume Arena with an AKAI controller to coordinate moving photographs, layered imagery and moving light to correspond with the music. The colors shift in speed, intensity and transparency in concert with the movements: Will of the Spirit, Humanity, Dreams, Damnation, and Freeing of Prometheus. Wozniak based his composition on Alexander Scriabin's orchestral work, The symphony "Prometheus: the Poem of Fire (1910)" which was the first composition to include notation for lights, interlacing color with sound to create multi-sensorial harmony.

Cronos is a reflection on the creation of the universe. The film, set in a graphical environment, aims at a representation of the early stages of the universe up to the appearance of mankind leading to the development on manmade structures and finally to space exploration. But the question remains: What will we find out there ?

CRONOS was shown at the Luxembourg City Light Nights on the 8/9/10 December 2016. it is an big scale immersive video projection with 5.1 surround sound.
