Here's some great examples of a project I was involved with that utilizes video mapping technology, where a projected image is 'mapped' to a 3D object. We are no longer limited to projecting on standard size screens. This technology allows video to be projected on any surface, and warped to perfectly match it's dimension structure. Each segment of the video can also be independently modulated, to produce stunning light shows for DJ's, musicians, bands, and performance artists that must be scene to be believed.
