At the Gate

At the Gate is a short video I created for the 2013 Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Staff Film Festival. You can see more of my video work, and hear more of my music at http://eddycolloton.com

This video is made up of composited layers of sound reactive video clips that I captured at Bell Sound Studios (http://bellsound.com), with lots of help from Marilyn Morris, one of Bell's engineers. The clips are created from original video I shoot, then manipulate in Final Cut Pro. The clips are then played back in Modul8, with sound reactivity and other effects enabled. I captured the video output from Modul8 at Bell Sound, then composited multiple captures in FCP.
