We spent an evening with visual artist Christian Hannon. Hannon is a Charleston native who has merged his interests in art and technology into an audio visual experience called projection mapping. Paired with live music, Hannon projects his own moving images onto 3D sculptures to create an exceptional concert experience.
“I feel extremely optimistic about the creative opportunities in Charleston," says Hannon "There are so many benefits to living in the area, especially with Spoleto and the art gallery scene, for example Redux and Tivoli. There aren’t many people in Charleston projection mapping, and there is so much potential for people to create a market that combines technology and art. The opportunities can only expand from here on out.”
