Making visuals at this show was one of the funnest gigs I've ever done in 2014, and if not ever! The vibe was right, the energy was stellar, it was a stunning last show for Dave Chappelle and one I was so happy to have been a part of. Yasiin Bey was such a pleasure to work with and it was incredible to make visuals to his music. Big shout out to Robert Bloom who called me out last minute to do this gig, talented Lighting Designer of this event, and as always a great collaborator! Thanks to E. Legaspi for shooting this video for me while I was doing my thing :)

After months of hard work and a successful crowdfunding campaign, L:ED had an artistic residency at the 6B.
This residency was the climax of an entire year of work allowing the collective to complete its interactive installation and show it for the very first time on Jan. 30th. It will also lead to further developments : the concepts underlying Mrage will be used in our upcoming works

Après des mois de travail et une campagne de crowdfunding couronnée de succès, le collectif L:ED a investi le 6B.
Cette résidence constituait la clé de voûte d'une année entière de travail et venait finaliser l'installation.
Une restitution publique a eu lieu le 30 janvier.
Retour en images sur cette résidence et présentation de l'installation, qui devrait connaître de nombreux développements. En effet, cette résidence ouvre de multiples perspectives créatives : "Mirage" va pouvoir se décliner et le concept être abordé sous de multiples angles.

Make walls talk! Annual competition and festival for multimedia projections and site-specific audiovisual performances.

Every summer since 2012, Weimar becomes a meeting point for digital avant-garde artists, culture enthusiasts and scientists. Genius Loci Weimarfestival for site-specific audio-visual art and interactive facade projections now ranks among the leading international events in this area.
Competition
Every year, three new facades are chosen to become a part of the competition. Whilst differing greatly, all of the sites are appealing and intriguing in their own way. One artist or artist team is chosen as the winner for each facade. Thereby, the requirements are not straightforward, but winners can look forward to a total of 45,000 euros prize money, kudos and a fantastic show!
It is the aim of Genius Loci Weimar to draw attention to the spirit of the location with respect to the history, architecture and other visible and invisible layers of meaning, and to bring these to life using the innovative techniques of the media art of video mapping.
Politically and socially, 2015 is set to be an extremely eventful year: War at the edges of Europe, alarming political movements in Germany, and an insecure and ever-shrinking societal middle-class. This year, Genius Loci Weimar will be de-emphasising the city’s touristic and classical beacons. This time, the festival will be shining a light on three locations in the inner city that likewise represent eventful and affecting times: The Atrium Weimar, the Jakobsplan and the squatted house on Gerberstrasse.

Array is an audiovisual (or VJ) performance performed by Alec Maassen at the UCLA Undergraduate Show, "Half & Half", in January of 2015. Using a series of rendered 3D lights, a light show was put together and projected onto a surface in the New Wight Gallery at UCLA. Each light is controlled by a different Midi input from two Traktor F1s.

I wanted to start working with generative text as a way to add more flavor to titles/intros/etc. while VJing. WUMBO is completely generative, using many of the plugins that ship with resolume and several custom ones.

The sixteenth edition of LPM Live Performers Meeting begins on May 28, 2015 in Rome, in the spaces of Nuovo Cinema Aquila, the location who already hosted the LPM 2011 Rome edition.
The sixteenth edition of LPM Live Performers Meeting begins on May 28, 2015 in Rome, in the spaces of Nuovo Cinema Aquila, the location who already hosted the LPM 2011 Rome edition.
Some of the workshops and panels are featured in dedicated areas of the Sapienza University as the big final party during La Notte Bianca della Sapienza, open air festival fully selfmanaged and selffinanced by the students collectives which takes place in the streets and squares of the campus and after 7 editions has become a very important event which involves more than 15.000 people in a night of debates, theatre, expositions and live performances.
In addition to the Meeting, LPM present the second Artistic Residency at Palazzo Chigi in the City of Formello (RM), produced with the assistance of the Province of Rome and the collaboration of the City of Formello.

Languages, techniques, cultural derives, innovative technologies: these are the themes that we want to discuss during our seminars and workshops. Send us your proposal for a talk, a presentation or a workshop and help us spreading knowledge!
