some context:
My buddy James Cao Yuxi had been asking me to do something for his " .Zip Uncompressed" weekly events for awhile but I didn't really have anything to showcase since I hadn't been making fresh content for a few months. However, I had been working on my own playback system for some time, and I thought "Uncompressed" might be a cool place to try it out. (as a result most of the video content is recycled from my older stuff)
What started out as a simple GLFW window ended up being able to handle 8 ProRes422 layers while also applying unique shaders to each layer, asynchronous loading, and playback speed manipulation. This shit crashed all the fucking time. To make things even more exciting: right before I was to begin the venue had a circuit issue and we lost 3 out of the 5 projectors, and only ended up with one wall of video, but whatdya gonna do
