Hi! From May 15 to 18, we'll host a special MadMapper & LED by garageCube workshop at the 20th edition of the Geneva Mapping Festival, We'll introduce new LED products as well as prototypes of new high-resolution bars in this unique four-day experimental workshop, This will also be an opportunity to preview MadMapper v6 upcoming timeline feature and how to synchronize in time and space almost anything you can imagine to make an audiovisual installation or show! The GarageCube and MadMapper teams will be on hand to welcome you, along with special guests: artists, electronics specialists, musicians, designers and programmers. Introduction to GLSL/ISF

We're very happy to have VIDVOX developer David Lublin and the artist Cornelius Henke on the program: as part of the MAD Conductor workshop they will provide a hands-on introduction to ISF (the Interaction Shader Format) as a way to make custom visual generators and effects for your favorite live video software such as MadMapper or as standalone visual art.

Robotino

During the 4 days, learn how to use the future timeline tool in order to control a 6-axis robotic arm! The result will be displayed on a circular platter to make the most of the MadMapper 6 functionalities associated with a robotic arm. The goal is to allow participants to reflect on the emblematic moments of their personal relationships, while experimenting with the use of the Mad Mapper to control the robotic arm, thus co-creating a universal narrative with the two guest artists, Ronald Dagonnier and Barbara Ferreira de Avelino!

Location & infos

The workshop will take place May 15-18 at the Fonderie Kugler in Geneva, Switzerland, Registration costs CHF 550 including 1 meal per day and a MadMapper license (including the upcoming timeline upgrade) for two computers for 2 years, In addition to a recent computer, knowledge of and interest in an audiovisual practice such as video, mapping, performance, scenography, music, light-design, etc., is a prerequisite.
