This video is a collaboration between DJ Chris Sick and visuals artist Marcell Marias. We've discovered that we each mix in very similar and layered fashions. In Chris' domain, the aural interweaves via several decks to drive my interactive interpretation in the the visual domain. With the use of interactive digital and analog video manipulation, we arrive at this piece. Digital work is via Modul8 and the kaleidoscopic patterns are from my Vortexya Video Kaleidoscope, an interactive tube-based analog video feedback sculpture.
