This movie is the result of the VjCoconuts' 'Cycloidotrope workshop' for the Cardboard Hippies at the Dumontfeesten in De Panne (16/07/2016).
Children made the drawings, wich were animated afterwards by Vj Coconuts using the principle of the chromatrope in a Magic Lantern.

Chromatrope or Cycloidotrope:

The chromatrope uses two discs of glass painted with abstract patterns, which rotate in opposite directions to produce similar images on the screen. The pattern appears to spread out from the centre of the screen, or move in towards the centre, depending on the direction of rotation of the discs.
