The Rub is a psychedelic retelling of Shakespeare's Hamlet from within the mind of the protagonist. The film was created with hand painted and decayed 35 mm and 16 mm celluloid strips, to create a new vision of the brooding Dane's experience.

„As the film starts, the logos of the large US film studios can be discerned behind flickers, splotches and scratches. What follows are inner visions of the evolution and revolution of cinema. Péter Lichter and Bori Máté’s experimental “The Rub” summons Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, rubbing profound words against filmic material. Strips of celluloid distort popular images and dance around dismal digital views of empty cinemas – a somnambulistic film brimming with resistance.”

Tipografia e poema em movimento. Tipos animados, letras em marcha, o prelo feito agito. Tipografia e poesia: resistência. Deslocamento, a prensa pensa o movimento da tela. Um dispositivo mecânico – o braço – é o ponto de partida. Arranca, sobe o rolo, desce a tinta sobre a rama. Imprime-se sobre o papel, enquanto a tela, sob o comando do dispositivo acoplado à prensa – e ao som do momento – passa. Imagens estáticas e em movimento. O analógico e o digital, simultâneos. Transposição intersemiótica, semioses, simbioses. O som da máquina, a música como elemento narrativo. E, na orquestração do movimento, a presença, a performance dos corpos. O tipógrafo transmídia, atravessado por diversas linguagens. O tipógrafo performer, poeta, guerrilheiro. O tipógrafo do ar, cheio de sonhos, em busca de um novo mundo, utópico e feliz. Sinopse
O Projeto Representa Corisco está em desenvolvimento desde 2003 e neste período foram realizadas várias intervenções urbanas e vídeo instalações em cidades como Belo Horizonte, São Paulo e Barcelona. Com o objetivo de propor reflexões críticas sobre as relações políticas e sociais nas grandes metrópoles, o projeto trabalha com conceitos da cultura popular e ícones visuais relacionados com o universo do cangaço e um dos seus personagens: Corisco.
O cangaço foi um movimento armado que durou mais de dois séculos (XIX y XX) no nordeste brasileiro e pode ser associado a conceitos como de resistência e crítica a privilégios hereditários presentes na história brasileira. Evocar Corisco e o cangaço é um intento de desenvolver uma ação política dentro do contexto contemporâneo, uma maneira de reinterpretar um passado recente, um universo de poesia e sobrevivência em um cenário desfavorável como o da Caatinga.

Weltbekannte DJs und Superstars wie Beth Dito und Mando Diao waren mit an Board der AIDA. Die bewegliche Theaterbühne und die LED Screenelemnte konnten auf die jeweiligen Auftritte angepasst werden.

Uma das maiores homenagens à cultura popular de Sergipe, o Largo da Gente Sergipana foi inaugurado no dia 17 de março de 2018, durante as comemorações do aniversário de Aracaju. A instalação artística urbana integrada à paisagem natural do rio Sergipe e ao Centro Histórico de Aracaju fortalece a identidade cultural do povo sergipano e contribui com o potencial turístico do estado. Durante a entrega do largo para a população sergipana, houve cortejo com grupos culturais e apresentações da Orquestra Jovem de Sergipe e do grupo Burundanga Percussivo, cortejo de tototós e show pirotécnico no Rio Sergipe.

Resultado de uma parceria entre o Instituto Banese, o Banco do Estado de Sergipe e o Governo do Estado, o largo já é considerado uma referência de valorização e preservação da arte e da cultura do povo sergipano e um novo cartão postal da cidade de Aracaju. Localizados um de frente para o outro, o Largo da Gente Sergipana dialoga com o Museu da Gente Sergipana, espaço que valoriza o patrimônio cultural do estado e cuja infraestrutura dará o suporte necessário aos visitantes do largo, incluindo estacionamento, espaço gastronômico e loja com artesanato local.

ZUM AUFTAKT DES 7. GENIUS LOCI WEIMAR FESTIVAL FÜR VIDEOMAPPING UND

MEDIENARCHITEKTUR 

10.-12. August 2018 

 

Die Ferien neigen sich langsam dem Ende entgegen, der Sommer jedoch noch lange nicht. Deshalb lädt das Genius Loci Weimar Festival, jetzt bereits zum siebten mal, alle ganz herzlich ein, um sich von faszinierender Lichtkunst verzaubern zu lassen. Auch in diesem Jahr werden wieder zahlreiche nationale und internationale Künstler die Weimarer Innenstadt zum leuchten bringen.

Festivalauftakt ist am Freitag, den 10.08.2018 um 21.30 Uhr. Die Videomapping-Shows werden alle 30 Minuten wiederholt, die letzte Show startet jeweils um 00:00 Uhr.

Dieses mal startet die Route bei der Bauhaus Universitätsbibliothek und führt über das Goethehaus und das Haus der Frau von Stein zum Genius Loci Lab in den Innenhof der Mensa am Park. Das Lab ist auch dieses Jahr wieder ein Schmelzpunkt für Ideen junger Nachwuchskünstler. Noch mehr atmosphärische Videokunst gibt es am Beethovenplatz zu erleben, dort lädt der Klima-Pavillon des Land Thüringens mit weiteren AV-Live-Shows zum Verweilen ein. Auch werden dieses mal wieder zahlreiche Nebenschauplätze entlang der Festivalroute zu entdecken sein, wie beispielsweise die Audioinstallation .inf im Innenhof der Bauhaus-Universitätsbibliothek. Live-AV-Konzerte und international bekannte Djs werden auch dieses Jahr wieder im Lichthaus Kino und dem Kesselsaal auf dem e-Werk Gelände zu sehen sein. Am Festivalsamstag werden renommierte Experten zu dem Thema Medienarchitektur und "Digital Placement" beim 2. Genius Loci Talk sprechen. Anmeldungen hier!

Am kommenden Freitag bis Sonntag kommt es deshalb zwischen 20:00 und 01:00 Uhr in der Innenstadt von Weimar zu Straßen- und Parkplatzsperrungen sowie Aufbauarbeiten in der Woche vor dem Festival (6. -10.August). 
Betroffen sind vor allem

• Ackerwand
• Steubenstraße (Abschnitt Universitätsbibliothek bis Wielandplatz) 
• Frauenplan
• Parkplatzsperrung zw. Haus der Frau von Stein und der Huchschule Franz Liszt 

 

Wir bitten Anwohner und Gäste dies zu berücksichtigen und zu entschuldigen.
