Happy 2019!
January is about to end, therefore we would like to send everyone our best wishes for 2019.
This year will be a special one for us, as it will mark the Mapping Festival’s 15th anniversary – we hope you will come and celebrate with us!
This 15th edition (May 23-26, 2019) promises to be unforgettable, with many special projects, an exhibition (under the theme THE DEAD WEB – LA FIN, which will imagine a future without internet), and audiovisual performances.
What this says is that there is diversity and novelty in the heart of Geneva!
We look forward to telling you more in the upcoming weeks!
For its 15th edition, the Mapping Festival has launched an open call for Swiss artists and collectives to submit an installation project for the
DEAD WEB exhibition, which will take place at the same time as the festival in May 2019.
Through various installations the exhibition will address the following question: "Will the Internet end soon?". Five artists have already been invited by Nathalie Bachand, the curator of the exhibition. The sixth artist/collective to present his/her project, will be selected through this Open Call.
Please note that this call applies ONLY to Swiss artists/collectives (living in Switzerland or abroad) and to foreign artists/collectives (who have been residing in Switzerland for at least three years).
Deadline to submit a project: March 15, 2019
We are currently hiring three interns to join the team in March:
This is a great opportunity to join the team of a major Swiss cultural event. Expect to perfect your skills and gain loads of experience!
