Zwei Awards und Save the Date: Genius Loci Weimar 2025
Wir freuen uns riesig ankündigen zu dürfen, dass dieses Jahr die 12. Ausgabe von Genius Loci Weimar vom 05. bis 07. September 2025 im Weimarer Stadtzentrum stattfinden wird. Der Wettbewerb für die audiovisuellen Produktionen, die während des Festivals gezeigt werden, startet am 07. Mai 2025 und Künstler haben bis zum 15. Juni 2025 Zeit, ihre Arbeiten einzureichen.

Doppelte Ehrung für Ghostpoets: LIT’24-Preis Light Art Poject und Video Mapping Award für Best Sound Design
Die immersive Installation Ghostpoets von mammasONica – zu sehen am Mahnmal Buchenwald als Gewinner des Genius Loci Festival Weimar 2024 –verwandelt Trauma, Erinnerung und Heilung in eine kraftvolle Erfahrung. Durch die Verbindung von Vergangenheit und Gegenwart lädt sie zumNachdenken und zur Versöhnung durch Kunst ein.
Für diese Arbeit erhielt mammasONica zwei weitere Auszeichnungen: den Light Art Project-Preis der LIT Lighting Design Awards 2024 und den Award für Best Sound Design bei den Video Mapping Awards.

Two awards and Save the Date: Genius Loci Weimar 2025
We are very excited to announce that the 12th edition of Genius Loci Weimar will take place from September 5th to September 7th 2025 in the heart of Weimar. Further details regarding location and theme will be shared in May. The competition for the audio-visual productions that will be shown during the festival starts May 7th 2025, and artists have until June 15th 2025, to submit their work.

Double honour for Ghostpoets: LIT'24 Prize Light Art Poject and Video Mapping Award for Best Sound Design
The immersive installation Ghostpoets by mammasONica – presented at the Buchenwald Memorial as winner of the Genius Loci Festival Weimar 2024 – transforms trauma, memory, and healing into a powerful experience. By connecting past and present, it invites reflection and reconciliation through art
For this work, mammasONica received two further awards: the Light Art Project Prize at the LIT Lighting Design Awards 2024 and the Award for Best Sound Design at the Video Mapping Awards.
