001++ Mapping Festival 2011, call for entries

Here we go! The open call of submissions to the Mapping Festival 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland. If you have had any ideas now is the time to share them with us! The festival promotes the concept of mixed disciplines and will accept proposals for the following categories:

- VJing
- Audio Visual performances
- Installations
- Lectures/Workshops/Presentations/Demos

Be mindful that the deadline for submissions is November 20th, 2010.

002++ Modul8 presentation/workshop U.S. mini-tour

We have been hearing that the U.S. has not been getting the love from us. So we decided to give a little with a mini string of presentations there. Here are the following dates and locations, so mark your calendars!

To be presented, Modul8 basics, importing your own media, creating compositions in real time and live mixing using MIDI interfaces as well as a brief showing of an alpha version of the mapping tool Mad Mapper that is a collaborative project between Modul8 Team and 1024architecture.

Workshop, hosted by Bart Kresa Design

An installation will be created prior to the workshop that will allow attendees to learn how to map video to surfaces and then use the controller of their choice to perform with the setup.

The workshop is free. RSVP required. Limited to 20 persons.
