Patchlab Digital Art Festival

Patchlab Digital Art Festival, organised in Krakow since 2012, is an international event dedicated to interdisciplinary (post)digital art forms, created at the intersection of art, new technologies and creative programming. During the 6th edition this year main focus will be at the Data Art and AI.

Patchlab is an exhibition at the Malopolska Garden of Arts and Contemporary Art Gallery Bunkier Sztuki presenting selected interactive installations and works, interdisciplinary special project, audiovisual performances and live acts, also screenings of selected works awarded during Athens Digital Art Festival in Greece.

Patchlab is also the workshops run by professionals, with the main focus on new media, digital culture and technology is a way of learning and working in which collaboration and experimentation plays a crucial role. During the media labs, artists and lecturers are going to introduce to the participants the possibilities offered by multimedia tools emerging outside the main trends, which doesn’t require professional background.

Patchlab is also a meeting point with new media artists and theoreticians organised in cooperation with Fine Art Academy in Krakow and review of selected international AV performances during two AV Nights with selection of electronic music producers from Poland and abroad with live visuals created and featured by the best European VJs.

Patchlab Digital Art Festival is part of the cultural cooperation LPM 2015 > 2018 realized within the international audiovisual network AVnode, with the contribution of the Creative Europe Culture Program for European Cooperation Projects, involving 14 partners from 13 European countries.
