0101 orchestrates live guitar loops, sample drums, and social documentary together to create a Cinematic Postrock Experience. 0101 takes you on a cyclical audio voyage without contrived ambiance or excess droning. In fact you may find that at the end you have reached the beginning without knowing how you got there.
1Hz is a scoring of the audiovisual live performance 1Hz which brings loop based music and cinematic visuals together. The performance was premiered during the course of an Artist in Residency at the Kasseler Dokfest in 2015. The project is a processually artistic research project which compares rhythm in music and moving images.
The film and audio footage was shot 2014 by Daniel von Rüdiger on a social documentary trip through Papua New Guinea. The two pieces specifically cover working processes of a indigene tripe at the Sepik river. Kanu documents the building and transport of a dugout and Sago the harvesting and processing of the staple food sago.
