Exhibition DISNOVATION.ORG // 11-28.05

/// DISNOVATION.ORG

For its first exhibition in Switzerland, collective DISNOVATION.ORG offers an autopsy of the ideology of technological innovation through different projects.
The exhibition includes, among others, Predictive Art Bot, a connected intellectual prosthesis that produces concepts of radical art works in order to influence contemporary artistic imagination, Blacklists, a random journey within the prohibited Internet, revealing the moral contours of the network, The Pirate Book, a compilation of alternative practices for the distribution of cultural content around the world, and Shanzhai Archeology, a collection of hybrid and nonstandardized technological objects that invites us to reconsider the normalization of Western technological imaginaries.
DISNOVATION.ORG is a working group based in Paris, initiated by Nicolas Maigret and Maria Roszkowska. At the crossroads between contemporary art, research and hacking, the collective develops situations of disturbance, speculation, and debate, challenging the ideology of innovation and stimulating the emergence of alternative narratives.
The day after the opening, don't miss the artist talks Technocriticism and speculative engineering. This panel will bring together Félicien Goguey, Nicolas Maigret, Clément Renaud and Gordan Savičić to question the discourses of innovation and technological solutionism. >> Friday, May 12, 6pm-8pm – free entrance
