LPM begins on May 18th in the spaces of RADION in Amsterdam: 384 artists, professionals and video passionate from 44 countries present 176projects, offering an unrepeatable and unique event.

We’ll meet artist coming from Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia,Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Finland,France, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay,Vietnam.
The program aims at exploring different themes through new audiovisual languages, techniques and technologies and with many different activities, i.e. workshops related to Live-Coding, LED mapping and stage design for events, gestural control of music and bodily musical performance. Presentations of platforms, tools, locals vjs communities from 5 different continents, a conference on AV Audience Development, video installations related to politics and cultural ensemble, interactive cameras catching and transforming bodies and faces in animated gif, personal and meta data tracing.
On May 17th Mediamatic and LPM invite to Biotalk: Algorithms from Nature, a talk with Federico Corradi, Gianluca Del Gobbo and Timo Dufner. They will give us a glimpse of the potential of nature’s algorithms for digital art and illustrate this with a live audio visual experimental act.
As for the most spectacular and trigger side of LPM, a live mapping contestrunning from 18th to 20th May and two night parties hosted by Radion Club onFriday and Saturday along with the best djs of the local scene, will frame the Meeting.
